❓ Frequently Asked Questions

When is the best time to see the bio bay?
The bioluminescence is visible year-round, but is brightest during the new moon when skies are darkest. We recommend booking around the new moon for the most spectacular experience. Cloud cover can also help by blocking ambient light.
Do I need kayaking experience?
No prior experience needed! We use stable tandem kayaks and provide instruction before entering the water. The bay is calm and protected, making it perfect for beginners. Guides are always nearby to assist.
Can I take photos of the bioluminescence?
The glow is difficult to capture with regular phone cameras, but we provide waterproof phone cases. For best results, use a camera with manual settings (long exposure, high ISO). Many guests prefer to simply enjoy the experience in the moment!
